Enjoy a day in the water at Martindale Beach all summer long. Martindale Beach will be open May 25 through Labor Day, from 10 am to 8 pm daily. Maple Beach will only be open 4th of July in 2013 and will not have lifeguards on duty.
Please note: The "Great Wave" wave pool will not be open Memorial Day Weekend. The pool will open once repairs to the pool have been completed. Updates will be posted.
Escape the hot days of summer and take a plunge into the “Great Wave” wave action pool at Lake Erie Metropark. Hold steady and practice your balance against three foot waves for hours of fun. Hours: 11 am to 7 pm weekdays; 11 am to 8 pm weekends/holidays. Hours may be reduced from mid-August through Labor Day. Admission fee: $7 for adults; $5 for children 15 years and younger or seniors 62 and older.

Swim in Lake St. Clair or at the Olympic-sized swimming pool at Lake St. Clair Metropark. The lake waters and 50-meter pool with waterslides and a diving well are the perfect places to cool off and enjoy a warm day. The pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, and the lake is open from May 1 to September 30. A beach shop and food concessions are conveniently located nearby.

Please note: the swimming pool is fully staffed with lifeguards and first aid employees during all hours of public swimming; beach bathing is unguarded during the swimming season.

Find the ultimate relief from the warm, summer sun while having buckets of fun at Lower Huron Metropark’s Turtle Cove Family Aquatic Center. Zip down two waterslides, drift along a lazy river, get soaked under the 300-gallon dumping bucket, and wade into the zero-depth entry pool with lap lanes. The Grille serves food and beverages (outside food/beverages and coolers are not permitted). Open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Weekdays and 11 a.m.-8 pm weekends and holidays.

Enjoy a summer day in the water at Baypoint and Eastwood Beaches at Stony Creek Metropark. Beaches are open 10 am to 8 pm throughout the summer, Memorial Day to Labor Day. Comfort stations, food bars and first aid facilities are available. Fires, alcohol and glass containers are not permitted at the beaches

Beaches at Stony Creek Metropark are no longer guarded. Both Baypoint and Eastwood beaches are swim at your own risk facilities.

While we are a pet friendly park system we do have areas in the park where pets are not allowed. Pets are not allowed at Baypoint Beach, Eastwood Beach or north of the Stony Creek river in the Nature Center area. All pets must be on a six foot leash and under control at all times.
Cool off at the swimming pool: glide down the family slide, play a game of water basketball or just soak in the shallow area while your kids run through the water.
