Enjoy a day in the water at Martindale and Maple beaches all summer long. There are no lifeguards on duty at either beach. Martindale Beach is open May 22 through Labor Day from 10 am to 8 pm daily. Maple Beach is open weekends only, May 22 through Labor Day, from 10 am to 8 pm. Closed for the season.
Escape the hot days of summer and take a plunge into the “Great Wave” wave action pool at Lake Erie Metropark. Hold steady and practice your balance against three foot waves for hours of fun. Hours: 11 am to 7 pm weekdays; 11 am to 8 pm weekends/holidays. Hours may be reduced from mid-August through Labor Day.
Find the ultimate relief from the warm, summer sun while having buckets of fun at Lower Huron Metropark’s Turtle Cove Family Aquatic Center. Zip down two waterslides, drift along a lazy river, get soaked under the 300-gallon dumping bucket, and wade into the zero-depth entry pool with lap lanes. The Grille serves food and beverages (outside food/beverages and coolers are not permitted). Open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Weekdays and 11 a.m.-8 pm weekends and holidays.

2010 Swim Lessons
Introductory level 1 swim lessons and IPAP (parent and tot - 6 months to 3 years) will be offered at Turtle Cove this summer.
Registration for swim lessons will take place at Turtle Cove on a first come first serve basis. The registration dates for each session are:

Swim in Lake St. Clair or at the Olympic-sized swimming pool at Metro Beach Metropark. The lake waters and 50-meter pool with waterslides and a diving well is the perfect place to cool off and enjoy a warm day. The pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, and the lake is open from May 1 to September 30. A beach shop and food bar is conveniently located nearby.

Please note: the swimming pool is fully staffed with lifeguards and first aid staff during all hours of public swimming; the swimming beach has no lifeguards on duty at any time.

Beaches are open 10 am to 8 pm throughout the summer, with lifeguards on duty at Baypoint Beach, Memorial Day to Labor Day. Comfort stations, food bars and first aid facilities are available. Fires, alcohol or glass containers are not permitted at the beaches
