Blue Moon at the Beach Concert - Kensington

Saturday, August 17
8 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Maple Beach

Once in a Blue Moon – they don’t come around very often, so we’re taking a step back in time. Come party like it’s the 1980s with us and a live Band (band announced at a later date). Dress in your 80s best for a night of live music (Best Songs of the 80s) under the stars. You only get this opportunity once in a Blue Moon, so let’s do it up! We’ll start the night off with a “Best Dressed” contest on the stage, and the winners will get bragging rights and prizes. Then you can grab a glow stick and dance the night away. The Band will take the stage at 8 p.m., and your encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

As the sky darkens, we will feature Blue Moon viewing stations, activities, and presentations provided by Metroparks Staff and partners. We highly encourage you to bring your “telescope” or a set of “binoculars” to take advantage of this time when the moon it at its biggest and brightest.

There will be food trucks and drink vendors available throughout the event.
