FIREWORKS, ENTERTAINMENT CELEBRATE HOLIDAYS AT THE METROPARKS

FIREWORKS will light up the skies on the Fourth of July weekend at four Huron-Clinton Metroparks. Each year, thousands of people pack the Metroparks for fireworks. Plan to arrive at least two hours early due to crowd conditions.

Fourth of July Fireworks:

• HUDSON MILLS METROPARK, near Dexter/Ann Arbor – Friday, July 3 at 10 p.m. Billy Mack and the Juke Joint Johnnies will perform at the Activity Center from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., with a break for fireworks at 10 p.m. For information, call Hudson Mills Metropark at 734-426-8211 or 1-800-477-3191.

• LAKE ERIE METROPARK, in Brownstown – Friday, July 3 at dusk. Teen Angels will perform from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. For information, call Lake Erie Metropark at 734-379-5020 or 1-800-477-3189.

• STONY CREEK METROPARK, near Rochester/Washington Township – Saturday, July 4 at 10:10 p.m. The fireworks are co-sponsored by the Washington Township Board of Trustees. For more information, call Stony Creek Metropark at 1-800-477-7756 or 586-781-4242.

• WILLOW METROPARK, near New Boston – Saturday, July 4. Square Pegs and the Mainstreet Drive will perform from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. with a break for fireworks at 10 p.m. For more information, call Willow Metropark at 734-697-9181 or 1-800-477-3182.
