“Astronomy on the Beach,” Friday and Saturday, September 5 and 6, 5 p.m. to midnight, Maple Beach. Several astronomy clubs will present a variety of programs with telescopes set up for observations. Hosted by the Great Lakes Association of Astronomy Clubs, this event will take place rain or shine.

“Growing Connections – Organic Festival,” Saturday, September 6, 9 a.m. to
6 p.m., Farm Center. Learn about better health through better nutrition. The event features lectures, workshops, programs for kids and a farmer’s market.
