About The Park

Your quiet getaway is just an easy drive to Delhi Metropark. Located 5 miles northwest of Ann Arbor, breathe in the sweet smell of 53 acres of mature oak trees and open, grassy lawns. Nestled against a bend in the Huron River, this is a popular fishing and canoeing destination. Wildlife and waterfowl abounds at Delhi Metropark. Spot a great blue heron hiding along the shore, snapping turtles basking on a rock or a white-tailed deer roaming the grounds. Let the childrens’ imagination soar with an adventure play ship, swings, slides and riding toys. Plan a game at the softball diamonds. Picnic areas, including two picnic shelters, are available.

Bring your fishing rod, tackle box and cast your line in the crisp, morning waters of the Huron River. A serene, natural setting and ample wildlife complete your experience. Common catches include smallmouth and largemouth bass. A catch and release policy applies to some areas within Delhi Metropark. This area is well known for fly-fishing, and there are good spots for shoreline fishing, as well.
The 7th annual Metroparks Geocaching Adventure is underway. The adventure is operated by members of the Michigan Geocaching Association in partnership with the Huron-Clinton Metroparks. The series of geocaches have been placed and are maintained by MIGO membrs. Additional information may be found at http://sites.google.com/site/geocachingadventure2010/.
Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.
Geocaches are located throughout the Huron-Clinton Metroparks. If you wish to place a cache within a Metropark, see the rules, regulations, and site permit application.
Relax under the shade of trees or under one of two designated picnic shelters areas. A children’s playground with swings and slides, and public restrooms are conveniently located onsite. We offer the perfect location for your next family reunion or corporate event. Contact the Hudson Mills Park office at (734) 426-8211.
