JULY INTERPRETIVE EVENTS

“Hike by Bike – Lighthouses,” Saturday July 11 and Sunday, July 12 at noon, Belle Isle Nature Zoo. Bring a bike and enjoy iconic Michigan landmarks during this guided ride. Pre-registration required.

“Just for Homeschoolers – Mother of Pearl,” Thursday, July 16 at 1 p.m., Belle Isle Nature Zoo. Explore the surprising story of native bivalves, including pretty shells, ugly names and industry. Pre-registration required.

“Small World Sunday – The Dirt ,” Sunday, July 19 at noon and 2 p.m., Belle Isle Nature Zoo. An interpreter will unravel the mystery of dirt, digging deep into its past. Pre-registration required.

“Weekend Walk – Blue Lagoon,” Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 at noon, Belle Isle Nature Zoo. Enjoy a woodland stroll and see the new life of our park on this guided walk. Pre-registration required.
