Trailside Trick-or-Treating

 

Kids put your costumes on and bring your favorite adults along. Halloween is almost here- so sweet! Time for some Halloween fun and treats. You’ll meet some friendly characters with activities and goodies for you to collect along our paved path, perfect for strollers, wagons, and all who are looking for a short accessible trail. Also discover fun facts, riddles, spooky decorations and photo stops along the way. Be sure to bring a bag or bucket for your treats. No need to plan ahead, come out and join us any time between 1 and 3pm. Just make sure the weather is nice – this event will not run if the temperature is below 45°F or in steady precipitation. Best suited for early elementary kids and their families.

Pre-registration is not required.

What to expect:
This program is entirely outdoors. The program begins and ends at the Indian Springs Park Office not the Environmental Discovery Center. See https://www.metroparks.com/indian-springs-metropark/#parkmaps for directions. The time, approximately 30 minutes, will be spent on a leisurely walk with frequent stops. Expect to walk about 0.25 miles. The planned path is paved, mostly flat and level and is suitable for wheelchairs, strollers, and adaptive walking equipment. No prior experience is necessary.

Time: 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult, children under 2 are Free!
