Homeschool Arts & Science on the Farm

Homeschool Students ages nine and up are invited to come learn all about the arts and sciences that are a part of a working farm. There is so much to explore, topics will vary by session. Younger siblings are always welcome at the farm but will not be able to participate in the class. Parents do not need to stay in the class space but must remain on site.

January 9 – Homeschool Arts & Sciences: Rabbit Genetics
February 13 – Homeschool Arts & Sciences: Goat Health & the Rumen
March 13 – Homeschool Arts & Sciences: Maple Sugaring
April 10 – Homeschool Arts & Sciences: Wool & Fibers
May 8 – Homeschool Arts & Sciences: Microbiology & Parasites
June 12 – Homeschool Arts & Sciences: Composting

What to Expect:
This program is mainly outdoors and in unheated barns. The planned path is dirt and gravel. The program is 60-90 minutes in length.

Ages: Children ages 9 – 18
Time: 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Cost: $10 per child
Location: Wolcott Mill Metropark, Farm Center

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
