Curious about what plants are growing when and how to identify them? Join us for our seasonal program to learn all about different groups of plants. We’ll hit the trails for a hike to observe plants, discuss how they’re used by wildlife and people, and learn what to look for during each season.
February 2 – Botany Basics: Evergreens
June 1 – Botany Basics: Flowers
August 3 – Botany Basics: Ferns
September 7 – Botany Basics: Trees
What to Expect:
This program starts indoors, ends outside. The time, approximately 75 minutes, will be spent on a leisurely walk with frequent stops. Expect to walk from ½ mile to 1.5 miles. The planned path surface is gravel and occasionally steep. For maximum enjoyment, some of our program time will require all participants to patiently remain still, quiet and listen closely.
Ages: 16 and up.
Time: 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult
