Come recycle your electronics – Sunday, September 22

Earn a reward for recycling!

The Detroit Zoo is teaming up with the Metroparks to conserve habitats and reduce waste in the Great Lakes! For one day only, you can bring your old, unwanted electronics to Lake St. Clair Metropark to be sustainably recycled. As a reward, you can earn tickets to the Detroit Zoo, redeemable for one year. Small loads (at least 17 gallons) earn one Zoo ticket, while large loads (a whole backseat of a vehicle or trunk full) earn two.

Every electronic recycled reduces landfill waste, protects animal habitats and makes the world a greener place! Registered participants get free entry to the Metropark the day of the event. Registration is required.

Date: Saturday, September 22
Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Cost: Free entry to the park for registered participants.
Location: Lake St. Clair Metropark, Back Parking Lot B
