Full Moon Hike

REGISTER HERE

Enjoy the new longer day length thanks to Daylight Saving with a full moon viewing hike. The moon rise is 8:14pm tonight so you’ll start by being guided to the perfect spot in the park to see Earth’s closest celestial object make its entrance. Then experience the trails amongst the trees on a guided walk as the sky fades.

This program depends on mostly clear skies. If the sky at the park is completely overcast, or there are some other highly unfavorable weather conditions present as of 6:30pm Friday March 14 the program will be cancelled, and all registered participants will be contacted and refunded.

What to Expect:
This program is entirely outdoors. The time, approximately one and ½ hours, will be spent on a leisurely walk with frequent stops. Expect to walk about 1 mile. The planned path surface is dirt and gravel, frequently rolling or slightly hilly, not suitable for adaptive walking equipment. No prior experience is necessary. Group discussion will be encouraged.

Ages: 10 and up.
Time: 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult
Location: Hudson Mills Metropark, Activity Center

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
