Full Moon Hike: Lake St. Clair
Want to walk the nature trails under the light of a full moon? Then join us for our full moon hikes! We will discuss the phases of the moon and the stories behind their names. We will walk the trails in search of the sights, sounds and smells of nocturnal wildlife that call the park home. Flashlights will be provided, with red filtering covers so as not to disturb wildlife.
What to Expect:
This program will begin after nightfall. If you bring a flashlight or headlamp, it must have a red filter on to avoid disrupting the natural rhythms of our animals and support our own night vision. We will have flashlights available to borrow during the program.
Ages: 8 and up.
Time: Start time varies by date
Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult
Location: Lake St. Clair Metropark, Nature Center
Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
