Nature Discovery Hike: Falling Leaves

 

Join us for a guided exploration of the unique habitats and seasonal nature happenings at Stony Creek Metropark. Each month we’ll meet at the nature center, learn about the season and what we might see or hear in the woods, fields, and ponds; and then head out on a hike to discover the wildlife and plants that call Stony Creek Metropark home. What to Expect:
This program starts indoors, ends outside. The time, approximately 75 minutes, will be spent on a leisurely walk with frequent stops. Expect to walk from 1/2 mile to 1.5 miles. The planned path surface is gravel and occasionally steep. For maximum enjoyment, some of our program time will require all program participants to patiently remain still, quiet, and listen closely.

Ages: 8 and up. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Time: 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult

Location: Stony Creek Metropark, Nature Center

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. three days before the program
