Buy your 2025 annual pass now and save!
Starting November 1, the regular vehicle annual pass will be on sale for just $35 for residents of the five counties we serve. That’s less than a family dinner out or a trip to the movies or a gym membership or a week’s worth of coffee purchases. That’s a lot of value for a small price, so buy before December 31, 2024. Annual passes will return to normal pricing on January 1, 2025.
Things to know:
- If you purchase your annual pass online, your receipt can be used as a temporary pass for 30 days until your official annual pass arrives in the mail.
- Annual passes are vehicle passes. They must be adhered to the windshield. If you plan to bring multiple vehicles into the parks, you will need to purchase one pass for each vehicle.
- Senior pricing for all types of annual passes is not offered online. You must purchase in person at a park office or toll booth and show your ID as proof of age. Senior pricing on annual passes applies to anyone 62 years of age or older. The senior price on a regular vehicle annual pass is $29 for residents and $34 for non-residents. You can purchase up to TWO (2) Annual Passes at the senior discount price. Additional Annual Passes can be purchased at standard rate.
- Resident pricing applies to anyone living in Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties.
- We offer the regular vehicle annual pass that admits one vehicle into the parks, a boat annual pass that admits one boat/trailer and a vehicle-boat combo pass that is adhered to the windshield and admits one vehicle and whatever boat trailer it is hauling.
- There is not a Oakland County Parks/Metroparks combo pass this year due to the Oakland County Parks millage on Oakland County ballots.
- We offer invoicing for companies and organizations looking to purchase 10 or more annual passes as a staff gift or wellness program addition. Click here to learn more.
Interested in an annual pass, but not sure if you’d use it enough? Short on cash and can’t swing the full purchase price right now? Consider trying our Trade Up program where daily passes can be traded in towards the purchase of an annual pass. Learn more below.
TRADE UP PROGRAM
This year, your Metroparks are once again offering the Trade Up Program allowing you to essentially try the Metroparks before you commit to an annual pass.
Here is how it works:
January 1, 2025, through Labor Day (September 1, 2025) you can visit the Metroparks and purchase a $10 daily pass. Keep your daily Metropark pass(es) and use them to trade up to an annual pass. All you have to do is present your daily pass(es) for a full-face value credit off your annual pass purchase. Two daily passes get you a $20 credit. Three gets you $30… And four, you got it, means you can trade up for a regular annual pass at no additional cost for residents of the five counties we serve – and just an additional $5 for non-residents.
This is the perfect program if you are a first-time visitor to a Metropark and you want to try it before you buy it. It really gives anyone the opportunity to come out to a Metropark and experience all the amazing things there are to do – a stroll on the trails, visit a Farm or Nature Center, bike through some great scenery or once it’s warm hit the beach. We know once you’ve had a chance to try a Metropark, you will want to experience them all year long.
The nitty gritty:
- Daily passes can be traded up to a regular or senior vehicle annual pass, regular or senior annual boat pass or a regular or senior vehicle/boat combo pass.
- The program allows for no more than four daily passes from separate visits to be traded up.
- Daily passes must be traded up in person at one of our toll booths or park offices, and can not be traded in online.
- Daily passes traded in MUST all be from separate days (i.e. visitors can not exchange multiple daily passes from the same day.)
- Daily passes traded in MUST all be dated between January 1, 2025 and September 1, 2025.
- Daily passes must be traded in by September 1, 2025.
They’re your Metroparks and they are waiting for you. Know that after you enjoy your first, second, third or even fourth visit you can still trade up to an entire year of fun!
