Woodcock Night Walk

REGISTER HERE

During a few short weeks in spring, these normally elusive birds put on a magical show, performing nocturnal courtship flight displays known as a sky dance. Join us to hear the myths, habits, and unique features of this bird that make it truly one of a kind. As the sun sets, we’ll head out for a twilight stroll down the nature trails. If the conditions are right, we’ll have front row seats as these aerial dancers put on a show for us in the sky above.

What to Expect:
This program is entirely outdoors. Most of this one-hour program time will be spent walking. Expect to walk about 1 mile. We will conclude at the park office. For maximum enjoyment, some of our one-hour program time will require all participants to patiently remain quiet and listen closely.
